Well said, Dave! And since many of the most knowledgeable beekeepers have
gray hair, they'd better get teaching!

>This list is good for research or biology type questions. But for general
questions regarding the culture of bees, the 'bulletin board' type forums
are great, because you will get many answers which allows a newbee to
compare and go with the consensus, which is usually the right choice.

This is a very good suggestion, Joe. This list could easily get bogged down
in the repeat of beginners' questions over and over. And the chat groups
can give more personal support from those in the same boat.

I also understand the frustration of beginners with the plethora of answers
that they will get on the chat groups, and their valid concern if the
answerer has any credibility. Don't worry--you are going to make mistakes,
and bees will die sometimes. Twenty years from now you will look back and
laugh at your mistakes.

To you beginners, the wonderful thing about beekeeping is that you will
never run out of questions--they just become more difficult to answer.
