Yes.

Keep in mind that some people (racers) tear down their engine and rebuild it as
often as once for each 1/4 mile run.

Other drivers load their cars down with accessories and paint and/or polish
constantly.

Most of The rest of us drive conservatively, get several hundred miles per
engine and don't worry about gadgets, maintenance or appearance beyond the
basics.

Who is right?  Depends who you are and what your goals are.
