Hi Joe & all,

I do not know where you live, but in North Alabama, we almost had a drought 
last year (2008). We did not have very many blooms. The ones that were there 
did not produce any nectar. Then in the fall the golden rod would bloom a 
little but by lunch time the bloom was dry. These blooms did not produce 
nectar.
