Pollinators “Insignificant” in Emergency Exemption; Bee Losses Continue
April 18, 2014 By Michele Colopy
Florida Section 18 Emergency Exemption: Pollinators Still “insignificant”
Florida beekeepers were emailed a notice April 9th declaring a “crisis exemption” for the State of Florida

But-- where is the EPA statement that pollinators are insignificant? This is a shameless twisting of words.

The article says:

> EPA states the effect [of clothianidin] to the bee industry and to native pollinators is considered “insignificant”.

How did this translate to "Pollinators Still Insignificant”???

Further, Adam H. Putnam, Florida Commissioner of Agriculture states

> This crisis exemption is requested because Florida is experiencing a non-routine, emergency situation with respect to management of (ACPs) on citrus.

Are pollinators experiencing a "non-routine, emergency situation"?

Finally, no link is provided so that we may read what the EPA actually said. Typical fear mongering, media distortion, and a deliberate to misguide the public
