Winter losses seem rather bad here in Northern Illinois and Sothern Wisconsin.
I am a small time beekeeper and lost 4 of ten colonies.  However, a local
commercial beekeeper lost 800 of 1300 colonies.  For him, it is a race to get
all the equipment back into production.
