I know exactly how you feel.  The down side of Science is that its one
thing to hit on a viable theory, all together another to prove it.

Science requires patience, not only by beekeepers who want answers now, but
also for the investigator who often spends a considerable part of his/her
life trying to obtain the elusive proof.  You're one of the lucky ones -
actually solved a key piece of the puzzle early in your career -- if you
can call 12 years early.  More than one of us has retired or passed on
without ever catching the brass ring.
