If it were your own equipment, then it might make sense, but I have zero
use for long stored other beekeeper's equipment since that is what I first
bought and had to destroy because of AFB,

In my case it turned out well since I was reimbursed for the wooden ware
and ended paying $25 for everything else (smoker, suit, tools, veil...).

With all that equipment, I figured I had to buy new wooden wear and
bees,.... so I wouldn't waste it and got my start in beekeeping.
