I was thinking more in line with the topic of the discussion, fumigillian,
and what it may do or not do in regard to nosema. It would be interesting
to see if HBH, by promoting feeding, counters nosema by some mechanism
(such as cleaning out the gut or inhibiting nosema) which leads to
healthier bees, instead of the fumigillian being the agent. Or they could
both be the reason. Or one does one thing and the other does the other.

It is the classic problem of causation potentially leading to incorrect
conclusions.
