FWIW the September 2005 Issue of Bee Culture has a good article by Celia
Davis, Varroa Fundamentals.  Within the article under THE INDIRECT EFFECTS
OF THE MITE are listed four different virus types and in the next
paragraph under COLONY EFFECTS, Parasitic Mite Syndrome(pages 28 and 29).
Further reading at www.honeybeeworld.com and the viruses listed plus
Allen's Diary should provide a fairly brief but thorough review of the
viruses affecting the European honey bee. For those folks across the pond
this article first appeared in Bee Craft, the official journal of the
British Beekeepers Association.
