Hi All,

In case the news has not reached you already, Gov. Schwarzenegger
signed AB 1216, a new standard of idenitity for honey, following 
Floria's lead, and modeled after the international Codex honey standard.

The bill was carried by Assembly Member Noreen Evans and 
is the result of many long months of persistent work
by CSBA leadership, in particular Gene Brandi and Dr. Eric Mussen.
CSBA is also grateful to all those who wrote the Governor in 
support of the bill and to the efforts of Holly Fraumeni of Platinum
Advisors who coordinated this successful outcome.
