It wasn't a rhetorical question.

But wouldn't a "reTHORical question" involve the repeated 
use of thunder, a hammer, or pleas to Odin?  :)

Yes.

The person claiming both that CCD did not exist, and that the problem 
(the one that he claims does not exist) was being spread by migratory
operations was clearly not aware of these CCD cases.

Also yes.

There's just no clear pattern apparent at this point that would allow 
ANY single mechanism or type of entity to be blamed for the transmission
and spread of CCD.
