Hi all,
 
FWIW, I remember a few years ago one of our researchers here asserting
that there was a strong correlation between ChalkBrood and protein
deficiency. Her view is that one way to reduce the likelihood of
a serious level of the disease is to ensure a source of pollen at
times of dearth. Many of us here feed a spring pollen supplement,
with that assertion in mind, although the early oilseed crop also
encourages that.
