Hello

I am new to beekeeping. I have bees in Northern Virginia and am wondering
what I should do this spring and when I should do it. I think I have to
re-queen since my bees swarmed alot in their first year and didn't produce
much honey.

When should I do this and how?

I have just one hive now but want to add three this spring.

When can I install new nucs for the coming year?

What is the best race for my area? Can I try out different races in hives
close to each other?

When is the primary honey flow and what is the nectar source?

I read a lot of bee books etc., but they do not have area-specific
information. The "Hive and the Honey Bee" has info but it covers too wide
an area.

Anything else I should be doing? Medicine, etc.

Ibrahim
