I recently installed 8 hives from splits. Four had queens and four had queen
cells. The 4 with queens are doing well and the 4 with cells have hatched
out but there are no queens. Could it be possible that the mites have killed
all the feral colonies and they never mated? If so, where did they go? Any
other ideas?
