Hi Peter & All

As is the case here in Canada, due to our proximity to the US.  Some  
restaurants serve US pints(16 oz), some Imperial(20 oz).  The metric  
system tells us the truth, however, as the US ounce is bigger than the  
Imperial. Our domestic beer comes in 355ml(12 oz US) cans and 341ml(12  
oz Imp) bottles.  Honey is sold in specified(by big brother) metric  
sizes but is talked about  in pounds by beekeepers.
