Charles mentioned the Mann Lake ventilated suit. Myself and friends have
tried several other variety of ventilated suits and by far the Mann lake is
the best. We run between a few hives to at most I had about 100 a few years
ago. The suits hold up well if they don't get snagged on briars etc.

Due to the 3 layers of mesh it shades your skin and allows the air to pass
through to help cool so effectively it is cooler than no suit due to the
shading.

The hood I have gotten use to, but my favorite hat is still the full brim
hat which doesn't flop around.

I would have to say the ventilated suit has made beekeeping more pleasant
and also safer due to reduced risk of heat stroke during the hot summer
months.

Doug
