I agree with you that such proclamations as "I could drink roundup" do nothing to encourage useful discussion. On the other hand, the LD50 of roundup is very similar to alcohol

Alcohol (Ethanol C2H6O0) -- LD50 7,060 mg/kg (rat, oral)

glyphosate --  acute oral LD50 in the rat is 5,600 mg/kg.

Many of us drink alcohol on a regular basis. It takes a very lot to be fatal.

So yes, you could commit suicide with roundup, if you didn't upchuck it.
