Is it valid to take 2 individual years in isolation?  Were they good, bad, or average?  Or does the figure remain fairly constant given the large numbers of colonies and the large area?  (I assume that these figures cover the whole of the US and that the pattern of beekeeping has not changed, i.e. similar numbers of colonies in the same locations?
