Loss of bees due to spritzing depends on how many bees got sprayed - but my 
 rule of thumb is to aim for 5% or less loss of control bees, and Larry 
Atkins  and I both agreed, if done properly, cage trials should sustain losses 
of no  more than 10%, with 8% as a warning level - things starting to get 
out of  compliance.
 
With sugar spray, I had losses of 10 to 30%.   Jerry
