I am blessed to be in the position that I have everything in the
world I need or want, therefore making it difficult for my kids to
find gifts that I would really appreciate. But this Christmas they
did both surprise and delight me with a gift from Heifer Project
International. It is a charitable organization that people can make
donations to fund gifts of livestock to third world countries. My
oldest daughter and her husband gave a gift of a beehive and package
of bees in my name for my Christmas present. Somewhere in the world,
someone is going to learn the joy of becoming a new beekeeper, their
family will savor the sweet taste of their own little business, our
environment will be improved, and I do not have something I need to
return or dust! What a delight!
