most people confuse pesticides and herbicides.  Roundup is a herbicide, 
not a pesticide.

Point of clarification:
Roundup _is_ a "pesticide"; specifically a "herbicide".
Pesticides kill, repel or prevent a pests. A pest is simply something 
that is not wanted in a particular environment for any number of reasons 
from being a nuisance to being severely destructive.  A product can fall 
into a specific subgroup - Rodentcides, fungicides, herbicides, 
insecticides, miticides & acaricides are likely the most common known to 
beekeepers, but there are a number of others.
