Hello every one!

Very nice thread, since i am new to langstroth hives.
I have been using Dadant hives for 20 years and am switching for
Langstroth 8 framers.
I have drilled auger holes in all deeps as well, my roof is 2"
insulation all year around(migratory type).
For now after the last honey pull i close the bottom entrance and leave
only the upper entrance open, that helps with robbery in the fall and
minimises the air flow from top to bottom.
i have screened bottom boards open most of the year, i close them
usually in January as brood-rearing begins.

Dave
