Here is another one that caused me to slam it in reverse with smoke pouring 
off the tires.

1-When you say normalize do you mean making all colonies same strength(what 
I know as equalization)?
and
2-Are you saying that even after requeening and normalizing that hives 
revert back to same relative strengths as before?

If I haven't misunderstood you, please unpack this as I find it utterly 
intriguing.
