I understand that, Pete, hence the smiley face in my answer.  I, too, am
always questioning.  However, I feel that the mechanisms are becoming better
understood, and that there is pretty strong science behind epigenetic
intergenerational transference of immunity.

As you suggest, the jelly is a likely possibility, but there certainly
appear to be means by which immunity can be passed via the ovum.
