The conclusion of the paper states:

> Speculatively, disruption of the gut microbiota by a novel antibiotic might contribute to the decline of colonies of bees, with such effects potentially becoming less pronounced as members of the microbiota acquire resistance capabilities.

Excuse me, but this speculation has been going on for quite some time but nothing has come from it. Again, here is an example of researchers justifying their work by saying "it could be related to colony collapse". 

Funny how folks criticize that motivation when it is used to fund things they don't agree with but when some research comes down the pike that they do agree with, it's roll out the red carpet.
