I agree with this comment with an addition. When you compare the other body
parts to your head, you'll notice that the knee is a "meatier" place than the
skull. When swelling does occur, there is no other place for it to go but
out. Whereas at your knee, the leg can absorb some of the swelling and it
doesn't show.
