My advice to Pastor Hoyt:  More stings in your beeyard will accomplish your
goal.
I have 9 hives of mild mannered (normally) bees.  Receiving 3 or 4 stings
per visit to my beeyard is not uncommon.  I don't wear gloves but always
wear a veil.  I only use smoke if the bees are testy, but always have the
smoker going.
