While I understand the necessity of treating contemporary problems with
scientifically up to date solutions; let's not minimize the great value of
the 'classic' beekeeping books.  They contain a vast store of knowledge,
experience and wisdom.  They can also be inspiring and entertaining-and I
can use a lot of both when confronting these "modern' problems in
beekeeping.
