Dear All

I think I have told you before that I do pollination on a blueberry field at
lat -32.09.
On this field there are some 20 hectares under plastic (Visqueen Luminance
THB).

I can understand that this plastic as it diffuse light and is UV filter will
be worrisome for the bees orientation.

However what we are seeing is that either Honey Bees or Bumble Bees do not
want to go out of the hives/boxes.

The traffic for a beehive that is outside the tunnel is above 100 bees per
minute. The ones inside less than 5.

Therefore I think is either a problem of temperature of the boxes (rather
than ambient temperature) or that direct light gives the bees certain clues
about the day.

Any clues that you can give to follow on my research?
