hives.  Weird, because Imidacloprid poisoning is hard to miss.

Exactly!  Two seasoned beekeepers measured the amount of brood in each
colony every two weeks during the summer treatments.  One would certainly
think that they would have noticed a decline in either the adult
population, the amount of sealed brood, or dead/dying bees in front of the
hives.
