Laval (Québec), close to Montreal, latitude 45.4. I
saw first dandelions on May 1st in grass receiving
south sunshine. All hives (3 of them were on 1 box
only) pass through winter. I only gave 500 mL of syrup
sugar per hive in late March/early April since singles
were very light. Then I hope to harvest a respectable
(in term of quality) floral dandelion honey. Floral
origin will be certified by pollen analysis.
