Thanks for the responses,

They are helpful.  I am supposed to be getting a new queen on Thursday.  I
think that I will do a more extensive search for queen cells in the hive,
wait 5 days prior to release in lieu of my traditional 3 days, and lay the
cage on the top bars to check for aggression prior to release.  Maybe it
will be more successful next time around.
