>I'm trying to document bee kills from corn planting dust,,,

In Western Pennsylvania, corn farming
has been suppressed during the past
decade due to the high cost of
fertilizer and fuel. And has recently
been suppressed even further.

Farmers which were suffering
greatly from the cost of fuel and
fertilizer began to sign on to
pheasants, ducks unlimited,
and other conservation programs
which pay them more than they
would make from corn.

Several years ago, the marcellus
shale natural gas boon has turned
many of the wiser farmers into
millionaires. Many of these farmers,
now financially stable, have given
up on corn planting, and are leaving
fields go un-planted The landscape
in my area is resembling prime
bee habitat.

These things have greatly reduced the
amount of round-up and other chemicals
being used which are associated with corn
growing. But this has had suppressing
effect on the dandelion bloom which is being
choked out by other foliage, and was previously
abundant in fields being crop rotated.

Best Wishes,
Joe Waggle
