Honey Shortage Yields Replacers Posted: July 9, 2009

In response to honeybee colony collapse around the world, *Bell Flavors &
Fragrances *(Northbrook, Illinois) now offers a line of honey replacers in
natural and artificial versions for a range of applications. The product
line includes:

   - honey flavors in artificial @ 0.3%, artificial SD @ 0.05% and N&A @
   1.0%;
   - honey type flavors in N&A @ 1.1%, natural SD @ 0.1–0.2%, natural @
   0.38% and natural @ 0.30%;
   - and honey flavor WONF powders in natural @ 2.0%, natural @ 0.5% (best
   suited for WONF honey profile) and natural @ 0.5% (best suited for meat
   applications and honey sauces.)
