Two points on this, First, the Union of CS's is far from unbiased, and
second, there was not any claim to increased yields but decreased
pesticide/weed killer use for gmo crops.

Yields are more a function of variety when you are already controlling
pests. Even they admit that, but instead they put up a strawman.

So a pesticide or gmo farm is about the same. But, put an organic farm
against a pesticide/gmo soybean farm and the studies show significantly
higher yields from the gmo crops. Pests obviously, make a difference. And
there were studies. Check the archives as we were all over this a couple of
years ago.
