​I heard the story from WWII​, that German soldiers here in Serbia when
came to a beekeeping family, asked for some beeswax. They chewed wax, like
gum, and it was melted wax, not coneycombs, helping them to overcome
feeling of hunger. Serbian soldiers used that in WWI too.
