When you consider the millions of dollars spent on wildlife conservation, fish hatcheries, etc. to cater to the hunting and fishing crowd, putting some effort into pollinator habitat seems like part of the same endeavor. Certainly worth doing for a myriad of reasons.

This sort of blanket statement is unhelpful at best. Monsanto, Syngenta, and Bayer are moving proactively to address the concerns of the public and beekeepers as well. 

Is it in their interest to do so? Of course. But they get tarred if they don't help, tarred if they do.
