as the virgin queen aged.  Acceptance was better for just emerged queens.
It was also better in mini mating nucs than in full size colonies.

Using the methods described by Juanse and ammonium nitrate I have had 80% success in introducing over one week old virgins in regular 5 frame nucs. A search of the archives will bring up a wealth of information about it if you're interested.
