Hi All, I would like to share something that has worked for me very well, as I have not had a tick on me for the last six years and I live in a heavily infested area. "Dove conditioner for hair", there seems to be something in it that repels ticks and most mosquitoes, but not gnats. Maybe one of the chemists can explain why, I just know it works for me.
Also as far as wearing any class 3A insecticide on my clothing I cannot recommend it at all and here's why. I was spraying fire ant mounds with Bifenthrin, finished up and just walked into the house. My wife's Bengal kitten went into the attack mode jumping on my legs and biting my trousers a couple of times. Shortly after, that kitten was having seizures and near to death, thankfully my wife's quick thinking saved it by giving it medical charcoal. The most I could have had on me would have been from drift, it's something to think about.
Cheers
