Two weeks ago, I successfully introduced Russian
Queens into 2 small
nucs (2 frames and 3 frames) using the push in cage
method. The queens
were released from the cages in 2 days. After the
queens were laying
well (8days later), I added 4 frames of bees and brood
(Italian). to
each nuc. There was no queen on the added frames.
Within 10 minutes,
both queens were balled and killed. What did I do
wrong? How should it
be done next time? Thanks for your help.
