My sincere apologies that my intial post on this topic resulted 
in unjustifiable critism of your tremendously successful 
organization and the commendable leadership being untaken on this 
important issue. I feel awful about it.

You and I have had many friendly exchanges over the years and I am quite sorry if I have lost your respect over this. I also know and even worked with Mace Vaughn and do not impugn his or anyone's motives. I can't help but believe that we can only benefit from having a free and complete airing of the conflicting viewpoints, rather than simply applying our signatures to a document whose actual background and history we are not familiar with.
