Dee, did your german grandpa actrually breed queens in mid winter in
germany?????

I don't think the size of the bee would matter, the temperatures are too low
and variable.

To repeat the solstices are December and July, and I said that queen rearing
during the winter solstoce was not feasible, and I live where the climate is
ameliorated by the gulf stream.
