I built a hive for my brother who has back issues, but his wife nixed it
and I certainly wasn't going to let the work go to waste so I put a late
Russian nuc in either end of it. It's probably not practical for your scale
but it sure is easy on the lifting. Holds about 35 deep frames. I've seen
pics of simpler one without built in insulation and screens and trays that
would be cheaper to make too.  Despite the cost I'll probably make more...
this one has been a dream to work with.  Pics here.
