Often being several days behind with mails, I like to quote sufficient to  
remind earlier readers of the context of my mails. I do, however, wish that  
other contributors could learn to be succinct.  Maybe with advancing years  my 
attention span isn't what it was, but I find one screenful  of words is  more 
than enough and I am as likely to hit the 'delete' rather than the 'scroll'  
button on longer mails.
