There are some amongst us on this forum and out there ,very learned
individuals
 that are "Scientists"
and there are many out that who are wannabe scientists.
I am neither.
However,,

Randy, if you concur with me then tell us,
what the hell is a citizen scientist?

I cringe when I read or hear that term.
IMHO
They are the problem ! regardless of the virtual field they they think they
exist in.
And they create more problems because they get supported!!
Which in turn fosters the anti whatever side and in turn denigrates the
reputation
of true science.

Can't have it both ways.
