Hi Donald

I think that I can help.  Always happy try when enquiring minds make themselves known.

> At what point of my extracting process should I be adding the pollen?

I may be wrong here, as legal processes this side of the pond are not always easy to follow, but I think that you shouldn't feel obliged to add pollen to the honey, Chinese or otherwise.  The advantage to this approach is that you would not need to change the labelling (to Honey, added pollen - that kind of thing).  All you need to do is to pick off the cappings one by one.  If it is a cell with pure honey, remove it with a small pipette.  If it is a cell in which they are storing pollen, just leave it.  That way you'll be down to the lower level of pollen that bees drop in while they are processing the nectar and not the higher level the beekeeper or his extracting equipment is responsible for.

Shouldn't take you long.  There could be a premium for EU-compliant honey. <winking smiley>

Bil: I did not say that the membership of the UK beekeeping organisations provides an EU majority.  It was a 'for example'. Your list of organisations is not representative of European beekeepers from the 28 member states.

Gavin
