Thanks for taking time to elucidate the intricacies of publishing! I wasn't trying to make a point in highlighting the slow turnaround time of journals. I certainly didn't intend to imply any "conspiracy" -- I was just joking about that, since conspiracies have been a topic here of late. 

However! Many of us seek to be informed of the latest developments on the research front. To that end, I suggest it would be wise and advisable to attend symposia such as the upcoming: Third International Conference on Pollinator Biology, Health and Policy on July 18-20, 2016. I plan to be there.

The conference is supported by Penn State's Center for Pollinator Research, Department of Entomology, College of Agricultural Sciences (http://ento.psu.edu/pollinators) and the Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences.
