The entire concept of anthropomorphism rests on the premise that humans are vastly different than all other creation, which precludes attributing anything to other creatures that is the exclusive domain of humans. 

However, humans were produced by evolution, as were all other creatures, and most of the same rules apply to all, including self organizing systems, such as dna and the human brain. 

The chief difference between humans and all the rest of creation resides in the imagination of said humans.
