I didn't go to the site, but the part you quote seems like pretty standard corporate stuff. I recently changed employers, from one printing company to another. The first was pretty much a commodity shop (if you didn't like our work you could go down the street and order the same thing). The second one is much more a specialty shop, with a lot of R&D and proprietary processes going on. But in both cases, the employee confidentiality agreement reads much the same as what you quoted from Monsanto.
