Thanks for that Peter.  A quick parse certainly makes me wonder about that 
author's credibility and the exactitude of the attributions made.  I know 
those authors to be much more cautious and nuanced in their comments on any 
topic.

The one thing that jumps out is the apparent lack of appreciation for the 
subtleties, details and economics of the problem.
